Another simple and effective way is to try sQusi Tracking Plus. It serves both as an IE add-on and a Firefox extension. Intellitxt blocking as well as that of some 8000 other annoyances is built-in. Free for the downloading from download.com. I'd give the URL but I can't seem to get it right in the comments box. Have used it for some seven months now, never know what (junk) you're missing until

Try for *intellitxt.com* in Firefox's Adblock. *intellitxt* as you suggest blocks that image on your article and a few bits below the text it seems. Probably not the result you were looking for.
