Last week Google announced that they would no longer be developing or supporting Google Notebook among other projects. If you are like me you went into panic mode. Even though Google is saying that they are not going to pull the plug on Notebook real soon the Firefox browser plug-in that I have grown to love and use everyday will be no more. Do you use Google Gmail? Have you tried the Gmail labs features? If you have and enabled the calendar feature of Gmail labs you may be seeing an authentication request if you are accessing Gmail using Google Chrome. For some reason Chrome cannot keep Gmail convinced that it is authentic in order to continue to display your Google calendar on the side of Gmail. Not sure why this is happening but if you do not want to continue to have to cancel this request you can disable your choice for the calendar in Gmail labs section.

Windows Vista SP1 is almost out but there will be some problems. Some security programs such as Zone Alarm Suite 7.1, Trend Micro Internet Security 2008 and BitDefender 1.0 will be blocked from even starting up once you install Windows Vista SP1. There is also at this point a problem with Windows Vista machines going into an endless cycle of boots and reboots. The fix is to remove a previous update #KB937287 prior to installing the Vista SP1. Our download of the day is a free standing program that you can download by clicking HERE or the above picture. Once you have downloaded the program simply click to run and you will see a dialog box like the one below. Simply check mark the items that you would like to uninstall and click next. If you do not have anything to uninstall a pop up box will notify you that this is the case and then the program will exit.
